Brian & Stephanie: Paris, France 2007 (Day 3)

http://www.bristeph.com/2007/03/paris-france-2007-day-3.html

Sunday, March 25, 2007. Paris, France 2007 (Day 3). Fortunately, there were some areas where flowers had been planted to give us an idea of what the gardens must be like in bloom. Louis XIV built a grand canal on the property and even imported gondoliers from Italy to row it. We also saw the Grand Trianon, the Temple of Love, and the Hamlet that Marie-Antoinette had built to pretend that she was a simple peasant. It was an actual working farm. I loved the Hamlet! Brian & Stephanie: Denver 2006

http://www.bristeph.com/2007/03/view-album-slideshow-we-finally-got.html

Thursday, March 1, 2007. We finally got around to arranging our photos from our visit to Linda and Stan's in Denver, CO last year. We had a wonderful time: attending the Great American Beer Festival, visiting a number of local brewpubs, driving into the mountains to listen to the bugling elk, and touring a couple of sites in downtown Denver. Sunday, March 25, 2007. Paris, France 2007 (Day 4). I think it may have rained a bit this day. I was definitely wishing for a hat, since it was much cooler and windier than I had anticipated. On this day, we started out at Saint Sulpice, the church featured in. The Da Vinci Code. Next, we tackled the Louvre. The crowds were heavy, but we were still able to see the Venus de Milo, the Winged Victory of Samothrace, the Madonna of the Rocks (a Da Vinci also featured in. The Da Vinci Code. Sunday, March 25, 2007. Paris, France 2007 (Day 2). Since the forecast for Paris had changed suddenly since I had last checked it, we opted to do the main outdoors things first to use the rapidly shrinking rain-free weather window we had. However, by the time we got to our first stop, the Eiffel Tower,. For dinner, we were led astray by the Lonely Planet map and found instead a nice little bistro that had a good jazz combo playing. They even played "Misty." Brian ordered the. Paris, France 2007 (Day 1).
