Friends Welcome - Wordsmith. No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. Aesop. 10 January 2020 @ 03:42 pm. Welcome to my weird little corner of cyberspace. If I've added you, it's because we've got a few things in common or you said something mindblowingly wise in a friend's journal and I wanted to get to know you better. I hope you'll add back, but if you don't after a couple weeks, I'll take the hint and bugger off. Pleased to meet you! 14 comments Leave a comment. Long time no see indeed!

Safe, but powerless - mysid
http://mysid.livejournal.com/171045.html
Safe, but powerless. Oct 30th, 2012 at 9:24 PM. We lost power- and the internet- shortly after I made my last post, and we still don't have them back. We're part of a very small, and all residential, power outage, so we're low priority for repair. We've been given estimates to get our power back ranging from this Friday to next Wednesday. The good news is that we have relatives in the area, and they have power. We relocated this evening, and I once again have internet. Yay! 5 comments Leave a comment.

"DON'T Remember to Vote Today, Sweetheart!" - mysid

DON'T Remember to Vote Today, Sweetheart! Nov 6th, 2012 at 1:08 PM. It's Election Day here in the USA, and all over the country, people are reminding their friends and loved ones to go vote. At my house, we have a different tradition: My husband and I very carefully mention nothing about the election until after the polls close, each hoping the other will forget to vote. We have never. Wouldn't it be nice if Republicans all across the country simply forgot to vote today? 3 comments Leave a comment. My re...

Nov 4th, 2012 at 8:42 PM. My teenage daughter went to a costume party tonight. (It was supposed to be last Sunday, but got postponed by the hurricane.) One of the girls went as "God's Gift to Men". She wore a large bow and a gift tag that said, "To: Men, From: God". 3 comments Leave a comment. Nov 5th, 2012 04:45 am (UTC). What a cute idea! Nov 5th, 2012 01:50 pm (UTC). Cute- and really easy! Why Am I In This Handbasket? If you plan on going on an epic quest, there are some things to look out for. Where knights can leave their armour. Neatly piled by the door. Ugh I have an email from this friend I've had a huge bust up with sitting in my inbox and it's long and apologis-y and honest but I don't really want to forgive him and I don't know how to reply without just sounding aggressive and like I'm holding a grudge so blah. I'm posting icons instead. List of icon resources found HERE. Taking 43 now and possibly others later! Will comment if I do. Awesomeness in icon form. :).

Bringing the hammer down - Wordsmith. No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. Aesop. 21 May 2014 @ 09:38 am. Bringing the hammer down. I took a women-only self-defense class last night and really enjoyed it. Holy crap, all my natural instincts would not have served me well. I enjoy a mixed martial arts class with lots of boxing moves as exercise, so if I was fighting to defend myself, I'd reflexively default to throwing jabs. If I threw a kick to defend myself, I probably would have used...

Stay for an hour or a day or a week; share tales of old and play with beasts. Dec 9th, 2010 at 6:42 PM. I don't use this journal very much anymore, especially not for significant fandom-related activities. It's mainly become a twitter-feed dump and the occasional photo-post or Real Life update space. All of my fandom stuff and writing - which yes, is predominantly Transformers slash now-a-days - has moved over to. If you're here to follow my fan writing and might be interested in Transformers, go friend.
