My Philosophy of Technology. My educational philosophy is in moderately in line with Essentialism first founded by William Bagley and H. G. Rickover. 1 Conservative approach to change in education. 2 Belief that human culture has a core of common knowledge. 3 Schools are obligated to teach essential knowledge and skills (back to basics) for students to be prepared for adult society. 4 Emphasis on development of the mind neutral of any social or political stance. 2 Learning is active not passive.
