Just another maniac's blog. Letztes Wochenende waren Britta und ich aufgebrochen um den Golden Ears Peak. Zu besteigen. Wir waren im Frühling schon einmal in der Gegend und haben am Fusse der Bergkette in den Alder Flats gezeltet. Diesmal sind wir am Samstag etwas weiter aufgestiegen und haben auf dem Kamm übernachtet (mitte unten im Bild). Das alte Jahr endete hier in Vancouver nicht mit einem Knall, sondern mit einem Erdbeben. 48 auf der Richter-Skala, was einer maximalen Auslenkung von 10 hoch 4.8 Mikrometern (=6.3 cm) entspricht. Nicht sehr viel, aber man merkts schon deutlich. Kaputt gegangen ist so weit ich weiß nix. Ansonsten waren wir noch auf dem letzten Spaziergang des Jahres.
