365 Days of Gratitude: June 13, 2012: Shopping Local
http://ayearinthanks.blogspot.com/2012/06/june-13-2012-shopping-local.html
Wednesday, June 13, 2012. June 13, 2012: Shopping Local. Today was one of those days that confirms that my neighborhood is the best. So good in fact that it brought be out of my blogging shell. The long Summer days are begging me to stay outside for as long as possible in the evenings, so I headed out post-work to soak up the 'hood. I ended up also making some investments in the local economy. My first stop was the Farmer's Market. Today I'm thankful for local shopping. June 14, 2012 at 10:05 AM. I am a ...

Cupcakin': August 2011
http://cupcakin.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 27, 2011. The Best Cupcake Book. The more I bake, the more I appreciate this book. She never lets me down. Many cookbooks that I have really don't produce that great of cakes. They are often dry, or the flavors are too bold. With good old Martha, you get subtle, delicious and simple flavors. Some of her ingredients are a bit ladida, but for the most part its good old fashioned eggs, sugar, flour, butter, done. My first adventure with fondant). When you have such a fun decoration on the t...

http://ayearinthanks.blogspot.com/2011/09/guest-blogger-beths-thanks.html
Thursday, September 8, 2011. Guest Blogger: Beth's Thanks. This week's guest post is from my friend Beth. Her blog always gives me a "goodlaff" as she talks about weddings and life as a newlywed. And she had a fantastic wedding. So she knows what she's talking about! For me, 2011 has been a year full of newness. So far, I have a new husband and a new last name. The next few months will bring me new passport stamps, a new home, and—fingers crossed- a new job. China over six years ago. Im always *thankful*...

http://ayearinthanks.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 31, 2011. Day 303: October 29, 2011. Today I am thankful for fun greeting cards. With all the great local printing companies, I don't think I have bought a Hallmark in years. My favorite spot to look is the bookstore down the street.just another reason to not buy an e-reader-I can't bear to think of it closing! Links to this post. Sunday, October 30, 2011. Day 302: October 28, 2011. Today I am thankful for Aspen Trees. Links to this post. Friday, October 28, 2011. Day 301: October 27, 2011.

365 Days of Gratitude: July 14, 2012: Movies
http://ayearinthanks.blogspot.com/2012/07/july-14-2012-movies.html
Saturday, July 14, 2012. July 14, 2012: Movies. Today I'm thankful for movies. Specifically movies that bring me back. You know, waaaay back. I'm spending the night kicking back, churning some strawberry sour cream ice cream, and watching a movie that I might literally be able to recite every line of. Sleepless in Seattle. This movie has the same power that Celine Dion songs possess to take me right back to the nineties in a nanosecond. July 17, 2012 at 4:49 PM. Em did you watch it on TV? If you miss thx...

365 Days of Gratitude: February 2012
http://ayearinthanks.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 29, 2012. February 29, 2012: Leap Year. Today I am thankful for Leap Year. I don't know why, I suppose it's the novelty. I wonder how many women will propose to their significant others today? Or how many babies will be born? It would be both fun and annoying to have a Leap Year birthday! Links to this post. Saturday, February 18, 2012. February 18 2012: Sloppy Seconds. Today I am thankful for the "sloppy seconds" man on Market Street. I do not know his name, so I call him that. A cou...

365 Days of Gratitude: April 2, 2012: Clean Bathrooms
http://ayearinthanks.blogspot.com/2012/04/april-2-2012-clean-bathrooms.html
Monday, April 2, 2012. April 2, 2012: Clean Bathrooms. Today I'm thankful for clean bathrooms. Some people might judge a restaurant by it's food, it's decor, etc. I judge a restaurant by its bathroom. Dirty bathrooms are gross. I feel like a bathroom that is well-tended and clean and smells nice speaks volumes about what the kitchen must look like. This might be totally untrue as it isn't based on any first-hand knowledge, but it makes sense to me. And dirty bathrooms are gross. April 3, 2012 at 6:29 PM.

365 Days of Gratitude: April 9, 2012: New Additions
http://ayearinthanks.blogspot.com/2012/04/april-9-2012-new-additions.html
Monday, April 9, 2012. April 9, 2012: New Additions. I spent the weekend living it up in my old stomping grounds: Chico! Love that little town! Okay, so maybe I wasn't exactly "living it up" Chico style, but I sure did enjoy myself. I got some much needed cuddle time in with my first Nephew and Godson Trenton. He is the cutest! Easily the best looking member of the Rose family so far. Today I am thankful for new additions to the family. Meeting for the first time! Auntie Em gets to feed him first! April ...

Cupcakin': December 2011
http://cupcakin.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 18, 2011. Cupcakes from L.A. L.A. Land! I headed down to L.A. a few weekends ago to hang with a dear friend, Birdy. Who is getting hitched in the summer of 2012! After a "small" incident at the airport (I forgot my ENTIRE wallet - ID, CC, everything.) it was a great weekend. Especially since Birdy had scouted a few cupcakery options for us. We ended up deciding on Vanilla Bake Shop. Enough with these fast bake cupcakeries! Overall, I would give the decor:. And of course, me! I should say...
