I'll try to keep a current list of care package items I would love to receive - please check here before sending (for instance, if I request a certain book and someone else sends it, I will try to remove it from the list ASAP). Granola bars - especially with peanut butter and chocolate. Velveeta Mac and Cheese. Trail mix or nuts (but don't bother sending just peanuts as they are widely available in Uganda). Chicken and salmon packets. Orbit Sweet Mint gum. Dog treats for Kibo. Strength in What Remains.

Saturday, March 19, 2011. So much has happened since my last entry (so this will be a long post)! The rains have finally come again so things are cool, I’m bathing regularly, and now my water is from a safe source (rain, as opposed to a disgusting, stagnant stream where the cows drink). I’ve been in a consistently good mood for about 2 weeks, which is almost unheard of for most of the PCVs I know, including myself. Chimichangas, queso dip, and frozen lime margaritas! Definitely a much-needed vacation!
