Sunday, January 04, 2015. January 3, 2015: Tory road to ruin. Tory leader Cameron launched their general campaign of lies and misinformation with the ludicrous 'road to a stronger economy' poster, which was immediately ridiculed on social media and satirised brilliantly by the Morning Star. The photograph of the road in the Tory poster was later revealed to have been taken in Germany. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Future That Works. Bradwell nuclear power station. Sunday, July 06, 2014. June 26-29, 2014: Glastonbury Festival. There have been a variety of weather conditions at the Glastonbury Festival over the years, but I don't recall an electrical storm shutting all stages for over an hour before. Great work from Shappi Khorsandi in the large Cabaret tent, who continued her performance without mic or PA. A delight for anyone close enough to the stage to hear her. Glastonbury 2014 on Flickr. Monday, June 23, 2014. June 21, 2014: Peoples Assembly No More Austerity demo, London. A huge turnout of around 50,000 were on the streets of London for the People's Assembly march and rally against Tory austerity. The BBC couldn't be bothered to cover this important political event in its news coverage, which made the start of the march outside Broadcasting House seem rather ironic. Some of the 50,000 protesters against ConDem austerity gathering in Parliament Square. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Love letter to Herne Hill – Laura Ward

Love letter to Herne Hill. In a few weeks I’ll be leaving Herne Hill, London SE24. This little pocket of London is firmly cemented in my heart after 8 brilliant years, so I feel a little pang of sadness in saying goodbye. Here’s my love letter to Herne Hill, in pictures. (edit: I know these are linking to the wrong pictures. Something funky going on in flickr). 2 replies ». February 17, 2014 at 11:24 am. Sorry to hear you’re moving out of the area – where are you going? June 29, 2014 at 10:30 pm. I took ...
