Vitale, I organized within a week our participation in the Monterey Stand down. Originally turned down due to resources, we all agreed to participate in order to give back to our veterans. The Monterey Stand Down. Is a collection of various Monterey organizations that has the goal of assisting homeless veterans being brought in the former Fort Ord.

During my Junior and Senior year at Palma High School, I volunteered my spring breaks to help build houses for families in Mexico, who need help. The families were hand chosen based on needs and reason. The houses were built to california code. In 2008, we built a house for a family who’s house had recently burned down due to a grease fire.
