Life in Progress: December 2011
http://chufford.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Attempts to create a life after college. Tuesday, December 20, 2011. Anyone Beta Testing Simple.com? I don't know enough about their business model yet. It sounds like a very customer focused banking solution - basically the entire front end of the bank that you want. But it appears like they farm out the back end. Anyone know how they are making money? Are they making interest off the back end? Borrowing for super cheap rates in order to source out the front end? This is a fine biz model.). Why do I now...

Life in Progress: Chip and Pin Cards
http://chufford.blogspot.com/2014/09/chip-and-pin-cards.html
Attempts to create a life after college. Tuesday, September 02, 2014. Chip and Pin Cards. Do you know what's crazy to me? It's the chip and pin cards that our european counterpart adopted many years ago and have become standard in the EU. If you've been anywhere in western Europe in the last 5 years, you know how difficult it can be (especially outside of large cities) to make purchases with a standard US credit card that doesn't use chip and pin technology. Why don't we get them? Some Guy in Cambridge.

Life in Progress: Whispersync
http://chufford.blogspot.com/2011/09/whispersync.html
Attempts to create a life after college. Thursday, September 29, 2011. I love reading books on my Kindle. I even made up a song. It goes like "my kindle., my kindle., I love. my kindle. I have read books with backlit screens before and they never satisfied - your eyes just got tired after 30-60 minutes. With the e-ink screens - reading experience is much better. Plus the auto-downloading of books - awesome. So easy to do. I figured out how to download library books - SWEET! My friends put up with a lot.

Down By Dukie's Place. Friday, September 14, 2007. California Bans Cell Phone Use for Teen Drivers. Or, ya know, they could just ban cell phone use for ALL drivers. or something. The first time a dude does this to me, I’ll return to this blog and apologize for being chauvinistic. But until that happens, you ladies are winning the bumper cart competition something like 10 to 0. Tuesday, September 11, 2007. 8221;Knock knock.”. 8220;Who’s there? I can’t even look at you right now.”. Follow me on Twitter.

Down By Dukie's Place: May 2007
http://downbydukiesplace.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Down By Dukie's Place. Thursday, May 24, 2007. Has anyone seen this story about a managing editor at the Baltimore Examiner pointing a gun at his neighbors over a dispute about him smoking in his own home. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t condone pointing a gun at your neighbors, *especially* when that neighbor is holding a child in his hands; but man, what a passive aggressive, whiny, bitch of a human this neighbor, David Paul Ayers, is? And his wife Christine went next door to confront Keegan. Second hand s...

Down By Dukie's Place: A "Little Death" of my Dignity
http://downbydukiesplace.blogspot.com/2007/11/little-death-of-my-dignity.html
Down By Dukie's Place. Thursday, November 29, 2007. A "Little Death" of my Dignity. I just recieved a “e” get well card with an attached message that said this:. Sorry about your hand! Yeah, sure, you wore it out by "falling off your bike." ;-) Seriously, get better soon! To which I replied thusly:. Aw That was very sweet of you to send me an ecard. Thank you. Yeah, sure, you wore it out by 'falling off your bike.'". I just clinched up really badly at the moment of poetic death. That was ME that was ME!

Down By Dukie's Place: July 2007
http://downbydukiesplace.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Down By Dukie's Place. Thursday, July 5, 2007. I’m All Atwitter. Starting next week, I’m going to have a new fictional neighbor in my building from the awsomist show in the history of television. I’ll totally feel like Marsha Brady when Davy Jones kissed her on the cheek:. Okay, I couldn’t find the exact scene I was looking for; but if Kima says no, I’ll feel exactly like Marsha did when that studio shill wouldn’t let her meet him. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
