Thursday, June 16, 2011. 8220;College is a refuge from hasty judgment". I've been home for two years. I've left home maybe. Three times in those two years. This fall I am moving out again and it feels SO great to be sorting through things, busting out the dusty college boxes. Or, in it's place. I'm getting ready to leave home again and move into an apartment with a roommate. I haven't had a roommate since 2007 and I'm not sure yet if I'm ready for one. I like having my own space, you know? Life with H D.

I'm bummed, not because I don't get to sleep all day on Saturday, but because I'm going to miss the last half hour of the first session of Conference and also the whole second session. Thursday, March 29, 2012. 8220;Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity”. There has been a series of fortunate events in my life these past few weeks. First of all, I got the job. I've been working at Subway for about three weeks now and I perpetually smell like sandwich. It's a small price to pay, considering I rock that job. It's fantastic, it fills my free time, and it brings in some pay. As a poor college student, having any source of income is much appreciated. Anchor and bird blog.

Smith's Your Governing Values are the Foundation of Personal Fulfillment. It was a really interesting piece and, as good literature is designed to, it made me reflect on my own personal governing values. Turns out the following assignment was to write our your top twenty governing values and define them. Perfect. 2 I love my family.

Wednesday, February 29, 2012. 8220;Never wear a backward baseball cap to an interview unless applying for the job of umpire”. I went in for a job interview today with Subway. Out of the blue yesterday I got a phone call from a gentleman named John who set up the interview. I was surprised, since I applied nearly two months ago and hadn't heard a peep. But the interview went well. No, it went more than well, it went spectacularly. I completely OWNED that interview. Feeling so good today. Links to this post.

Monday, August 10, 2015. Downtown Spokane is one of my favorite places and I realized the other day that Brock has never rode the carousel downtown! I couldn't believe I had not taken him yet. So Deric and I took him on Saturday. And he loved it! He wasn't sure when it first started moving. But a few seconds in he was LOVING it!
