Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Two Sundays ago, a girl at church gave me a crayon drawing of a rainbow. That same night, in our David's Team activity, I asked all the kids to draw their favorite Bible story on the concrete in chalk. 4 different kids drew a picture of Noah's Ark and the Flood. At the time, I didn't realize that this was preparing me for my own flood of sorts. Usher in the weekend full of heavy showers. As it turns out, a lot of rainwater plus a septic tank placed too high equals impending doom.

Tuesday, February 23, 2010. Crawling as fast as she can to Daisy's water bowl and splashing her hand and whatever toy she might be holding repeatedly into the water. When mommy says "no-no Peyton," she quickly splashes one more time for good measure (and to prove whose boss, I guess) and then happily trails water all the way back to me. Pulling up on the tv cabinet and banging her blocks against the tv in rhythm to whatever cartoon music might be on. I have to share my favorites. Haha! Shes such a cutie!

Wednesday, March 09, 2011. I've had a turtle for quite few years now, 5, I believe. Here's why I'd suggest a turtle as your next pet. He's pretty low maintenance. If you buy the right filter and lighting, then there isn't too much you have to do to keep the habitat up right. I'd say I may clean the aquarium once every couple of months. Not too shabby in my opinion. Especially when you consider that stank that is Bucky's litter box in one weeks' time. How often does he eat? Why does he swim constantly?
