Summer 2005 the Bromley group hosted 10 children for two weeks. Some of the day trips were to Broadstairs by bus, to Bocketts Farm by a route master bus and Chessington World of Adventures. When we were down at Broadstairs an ITN news crew filmed the day and this was then shown on television a few days later. We played games that involved no language-. We used Alta Vista Babel fish translation web site to communicate to the children more complex things. We found some of our DVDs could be played in Russian or had Russian subtitles. Some of the activities and resources that we found useful in 2005. We took the children. We took the children swimming to the local pool and ten pin bowling.

Liverpool Group Visit West Wickham 2008. The Bromley group of the Chernobyl Children’s project hosted a trip to London for 10 children all in remission from cancer.The 10 children were staying with the Liverpool group for a month as a recuperative holiday in the UK.
