Dangela in Korea: May 2007
http://dangelainkorea.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 20, 2007. Last weekend Dan and I caught a bus to Icheon and met up with Adam and Elisa (friends from ICS in Toronto) for a weekend jam-packed with . pottery! I loved it all. There were various designs and styles ranging from the green polished Goryeo celadon to heavier and more rustic earthenware. Here are some of the 'twin vases' similar to the ones we got. I have yet to take a photo of our pottery, but it's coming! Posted by Dangela at 10:25 PM. Posted by Dangela at 6:38 AM. The next day we...

Dangela in Korea: March 2007
http://dangelainkorea.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 30, 2007. In Korea, spring is not a leisurely Saturday morning where you can gradually stretch your limbs and enjoy your mind’s slow thaw. Instead, it announces its presence in loud colours and gaudy buds (like a clock radio or a happy puppy). Posted by Dangela at 11:52 PM. Thursday, March 01, 2007. After our feast at naab. I also found an outlet of one of my favorite stores :P. Posted by Dangela at 11:14 PM. Here are pictures of the live and cooked specimens. Posted by Dangela at 12:08 PM.

Dangela in Korea: October 2006
http://dangelainkorea.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 28, 2006. All things beautiful: great and small. Dan and I went on a walk today, and we were surprised and delighted to see a colourful snake in the leaves near the path. We managed to get a great photo of it, and it got me thinking about a number of other photos of 'small things' I've taken. From thistles and water lilies to snakes and insects, sometimes it's the small things that fascinate me the most. Posted by Dangela at 5:40 PM. Saturday, October 21, 2006. Monday, October 09, 2006.

Monday, June 25, 2007. Posted by Dangela at 10:47 AM. I got a chance to have a little chat with Claude. I gave him a few pointers on light and perspective that I think he appreciated very much. After the museum, we took the subway to Itaewon to look at some books at one of the English bookstores and to enjoy a meal at the Foreign Restaurant. Posted by Dangela at 10:00 AM. Sunday, September 24, 2006. Sunday morning in Sokcho. On the weekend of Sept 8 and 9, we attended a conference in Sokcho. We stayed on the sixth floor of the "Good Morning Hotel". Our balcony gave us a splendid view of the sunrise over the east sea. Posted by Dangela at 12:33 PM. Sunday, September 17, 2006. Check out the chilies drying in the sun! These pictures were taken by a stream that runs through town. It originates in the mountains just above Wonju so the water is very clean and good to swim in.

Dangela in Korea: February 2007

Wednesday, February 28, 2007. Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra Chamber Players. While we were waiting around for our 12:30 guided tour of the skybridge, we came across an advertisement for an evening chamber concert- for only 10MR (that's less than four dollars Canadian! Since there was a semi-formal dress code, we spent the afternoon shopping for pants for Dan, and shoes for Angela (at one of the MANY malls in KL). There was no photography allowed in the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas,. The Petronas towers ...

Dangela in Korea: April 2007
http://dangelainkorea.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 01, 2007. What IS there to do in Wonju, anyways? On April fool's day Dan and I, along with Emily and Trenton, went ten-pin bowling. I won the first game- no joke! The night before the four of us went to a DVD-bang (the same one we went to with James) and watched 'Ladder 49.' It was so nice to relax and socialize, without thinking about teaching, meetings, and our upcoming class-observations. Posted by Dangela at 9:57 AM. View my complete profile. Murray Camp Summer 2008.

Wednesday, November 15, 2006. For lunch on Wednesday ELP took the staff out for lunch as a farewell for Jean (who just moved back to Edmonton after teaching in Korea for several years).
