Brooding On: The New Chicken Wagon

http://broodingon.blogspot.com/2013/11/the-new-chicken-wagon.html

Saturday, November 9, 2013. The New Chicken Wagon. Here's a sneak peak at the new chicken wagon we'll be bringing home next Saturday (along with the 100 chickens who sleep inside). This amazing contraption is large enough to provide sleeping/egg laying space for nearly 200 chickens and is easily moved from place to place so that we can allow them constant access to fresh foraging ground. These chickens are happy and healthy and on the cusp of egg-laying age. What a very exciting enterprise!

Brooding On: Laundry Closet Re-organization!

http://broodingon.blogspot.com/2012/03/laundry-closet-re-organization.html

Sunday, March 18, 2012. I'm working my way through the house doing spring cleaning with a plan completely stolen from my friend Ericka - tackling one room per week with a deep clean. In the process, I've discovered something about myself. I LOVE to organize, but I HATE to clean. As you can see, we have more of a laundry. This arrangement is fine by me because I'd rather not be shut off in a small room by myself folding clothes anyway. However, the closet leaves me with a. Space in which to get a. Above t...

Brooding On: A Fence-Building Weekend

http://broodingon.blogspot.com/2013/11/a-fence-building-weekend.html

Tuesday, November 12, 2013. Brrrr It's cold out there today. Looks like the cooler weather may now be upon us for awhile. This just makes me even more thankful for the weather we had this past weekend. We were able to make use of our long weekend together by stringing up about a half-mile of electric fencing at the new farm. It was our first attempt at working with these new fencing materials, and we had a lot of fun together figuring it all out. And these reels of electric wire and polywire. Of course, ...

Thursday, November 14, 2013. Change is Brewing: Brood Farm Site Will Launch Soon. This picture is unrelated to the content of this post, but I think posts without pics are dull. ;). If you're one who enjoys the blog but avoids change at all costs, you may want to crawl into a hole right now or mentally take a little visit to your happy place. If you, say, access the blog daily via a button on the home screen of your iPad (Mamaw, I'm talking to you now ;), you'll need to create a new button using the new ...

Making Home: Our Cheap, Blueprint-less DIY Chicken Coop

http://makinghome.blogspot.com/2013/09/our-cheap-blueprint-less-diy-chicken.html

Our Cheap, Blueprint-less DIY Chicken Coop. This article first appeared as a guest post on my college friend Ashley's blog, Brooding On. In June, we got ten Buff Orpingtons (yes, ten- I have six children who insist on eating three times a day, plus snacks, and so we go through eggs at an alarming rate). At first, I thought we would build our own chicken coop. So the project of the blueprint-less chicken coop began. The tools we had available were:. Table saw (borrowed from a friend). Direction of the sun.

The Empty Space In My Consciousness

The Empty Space In My Consciousness. Sunday, June 28, 2009. It has been ages since i've blogged. And only a special event and a special someone can bring my lazy butt to blog. This special someone has been through alot with me. Enduring my nonsense and attitude, giving me advice and her loving words, providing me comfort when I needed her most, and just gave me love. For that I truly love her. Happy 4 years anniversary Nurain Binte Rahmat. And thank you. For everything. View my complete profile.

the brooding omnipresence?

Give me Ambiguity or Give me Something Else! Tuesday, August 7, 2007. This is the End. Farewell, faithful readers. As you can tell, this omnipresence has fizzled. Work is around the corner and I simply cannot justify cranking up the ole' blog again for two more weeks. Thanks for allowing me to share my thoughts with you and, perhaps, indulging my narcissism. It is said that all good things come to an end. I disagree. Both good and bad will last. Sunday, July 29, 2007. It was a wild ride. I am not talking...

A Random W(t)alk...

Over the series of reading(s) I have done in Finance, I have only been able to decipher that world is as random as random can be . there is nothing right or wrong . there is no gain, no loss . and price ultimately is what a marginal buyer is willing to pay! Thursday, May 6, 2010. The market has found yet another reason to short equities. This time its the concerns over PIIGS! For now I wait for scamters to compensate . Saturday, June 6, 2009. Brooding Persian

Monday, February 25, 2013. I know he was to be a transitory figure. But his departure was quite the surprise. What disturbs me, thought, about all theologians is a simple question. It is the one question worth pondering for me. If the nature of the supposed divinity is so ineluctable and so expansive; if that is, in a shitty little planet in the middle of the boonies, populated as it is by rats, asses, birds, fawns, ants and the queen bees—with the feminine principal so everpresent, (no? There have alway...
