What a neat building – we entered the gates and were greeted very warmly right away. The building is really bright and colorful and makes you feel welcomed right away. Since our coupledom kicked off, we’ve enjoyed lots of adventures together, including ice climbing in Alaska, skiing in Colorado (where Brad left his right ACL in January of 2012), ziplining through Jamaica, and numerous camping/hiking/kayaking treks through various parts of Wisconsin. Today marks a special anniversary – third day in a row that Brad and I are wearing the same clothes! We have no idea how someone does this for a full week. Nick’s mom warned us about that, and she was certainly right (sidenote – thank you Diane! All of your tips made our trip awesome! However, we hopped in the ole Land Cruiser and headed off, determined to make our last day awesome.

Using Marriott points at the strategic mid-point in sabbatical also allowed us to afford a great waterfront hotel later in the trip in Croatia, which we’re looking forward to. And they greeted us with champagne and cheese in our room. Very awesome. The 1 setting is at 12 o’clock. The 2 setting is at 3 o’clock.

MAKING IT UP AS WE GO. Sunday, April 29, 2012. We surprised the kids with a Disney cruise for Christmas. Time finally came and the kids were able to collect. We were also able to take my mom, and my niece Erica and her daughter Ellie, who is Emmy's age. Our first stop.Puerta Vallarta. Wow. I had no idea how tropical it is there. We were able to ride up the coast on a catamaran to a private beach.Las Caletas and the views were amazing. Emmy and I just off the boat. And ride the tube. In a magical place!
