Thursday, May 14, 2009. This week I had one of my favorite moments in Thailand. I woke up yesterday morning thinking about my sweet little friends at the government orphanage down the road. I've seen these kids grow up over the past 3 years. They were in the baby class and now they're almost on their way to kindergarten! If you look in this precious girls' hand you'll see a sunflower seed. My job for about an hour was cracking open these seeds for four of the kids. It was loads of fun. Can you believe it?

Friday, July 03, 2009. Today I took Nat and his family to back to the doctor. we learned a little more about the physical therapy he needs. He also received Botox injections which will stay in his muscles for 6 months to aid in his therapy. We'll go back next Thursday to get leg braces fitted so he can begin to strengthen his muscles and learn how to walk! Me: Hello, Nat! Me: Where are we? Nat: We're at the hospital. Me: What are we doing here? Nat: About to get some shots! You should go to the beach too!

Monday, June 15, 2009. Creepers. or not. One of my favorite words that Jenn and Heather refer to on their blogs is "creepers." I think I met the Thailand version today. I can hardly think of one single time where I felt unsafe around someone here in Thailand. maybe that's because I'm naive. But that's not the point of this post. OK so the creepers. Do I ask back? Do I look at the floor the whole time to avoid eye contact with potential new question-askers? Run for your life! Everybody needs a smile.

Wednesday, June 24, 2009. I told myself I'd never do it. But I'm doing it. Because it's so slow today- two posts in one day. *gasp* I know, I know, but here it is, regardless. Saturday, April 19, 2008. Ridin' and Rockin' (cheezy title, I know). One hundred and fifty miles. All riding to find a cure. There are no words to describe how cool last weekend was. Thursday, July 2, 2009. I have a confession to make. Like any confession, it's one I'm not proud of and I'm nervous about making. I have an addiction. It creeps up most when I'm traveling in my car for long lengths of time. I usually stop by a random gas station and then. addiction happens. It's a hard addiction to have. He was from the Houston Chronicle and, long story short, I've got a free summer subscription to the Houston Chronicle's Sunday paper. We got our first one recently, and I was reading an article in the Parade about Shia LeBeouf, the kid from the Transformers movie.
