Tuesday, April 14, 2009. I found the beginning rape scene very shocking. It is one of the first impressions the audience has of Eastwood's character and in trying to make him an anti-hero they definitely achieve that. I found the whole scene to be really bizarre and was a bit unsure of the woman's actual reaction. Wednesday, March 11, 2009. Blackboard Jungle: An Original of it's Kind. I'd never even heard of Blackboard Jungle until watching it in class. It's a pretty big deal to me because it's easy to see that this film was the original of its kind; new teacher, eager to change the life of his/her students finds obstacles in inner city environment.
