A few weeks ago, after some unexpected doctors appointments in Pittsburgh, I ended up having to suddenly fly home to Wisconsin to receive further medical attention. By the end of the week I was diagnosed with. A cancer of the lymph system. Can this really be my life? Being rooted and grounded in. Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Post #9: LAST DAY OF CHEMO! TODAY IS THE DAY! The day I thought would never come. The day that has felt like a figment of my imagination. Today is the day I get to kiss chemo good-bye (read: drop-kick off a 40 foot cliff)! But as exciting as this day is, I'm not really all that excited for it. Mmm.I might be a tiny, baby-bit excited, but it's hard to be excited about chemo! When in walks my mom with a HUGE bag full of Panera bagels to share, too! Aunt Donna and Aunt Lollie.

Sunday, August 3, 2014. Post #11: One Day More! Contrary to my somewhat misleading reports of "post-chemo life," I am not yet done receiving treatments. Since July 15th, I have been receiving daily treatments of radiation therapy. I knew even before beginning chemo that radiation was in store for my treatment plan, but initially my radiation oncologist had thought I'd only need about 2 weeks of treatment at a very minimal dosage.
