Thursday, 27 January 2011. Day Four - Chairlifts? This morning we headed down to the chairlift so that we could then go all the way to the top of the mountain. Despite a few nerves, we were soon safely onboard and spent a relaxing 10 mins enjoying the fabulous views! Last night's ice-skating was a great success! Monday, 24 January 2011. Day One - a fabulous start to the week! This morning we awoke to fresh snow - excellent news! Despite our late arrival at the hotel, we were up early and soon heading down to the slopes where we met our five instructors for the week. We were quickly kitted out with boots, skis and helmets and had a super day learning the basics. Everyone made great progress (with no injuries to report! Tuesday, 25 January 2011. Day Two - We can now stop and turn! Yes, today we learned two basic (but very important! Skills - how to stop safely and how to do a snow-plough turn! It was snowing all day and very chilly but we kept going with the help of a hot chocolate or two! Some groups even managed to use a drag-lift to save them walking all the way up the slope before skiing back down. No injuries today! Last night's ice-skating had to be postponed to later in the week due to too much snow on the ice!

Wednesday, 26 January 2011. Day Three - Nursery slope conquered! Today we had a fabulous time using the drag lift to head all the way to the top of the nursery slope before showing off our snow-plough turns as we skied perfectly to the bottom! Our instructors are so impressed with us that they say we will be heading to the very top of the mountain tomorrow to discover the beautiful green run. Saturday, 29 January 2011. Day Six - We can't believe it's all over! Another fabulous day on the slopes! Today we got to try some of the harder blue and red runs as the green runs are now too easy for us! You'll be delighted to hear that everyone has passed the ski exam and is now a qualified skier.
