Saturday, May 30, 2009. Thursday we decided to take a trip to Apache Lake. We were greeted by a Diamondback Rattlesnake. Apache Lake is a 12 mile long, man-made reservoir. Created by Roosevelt Dam. We've never had this kind of trip before as we were always afraid to have young children around so much water. It was definitely worth the wait! Because we were there on a weekday, it was hardly crowded. Very serene with breathtaking views. It would be nice to visit again, however the treacherous.
