Thursday, July 31, 2008. Brown Bag For A Cure Donates. On Saturday, July 26th, we presented our first donation. 27,338 was donated to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. Two amazing children formed their own TEAM and both achieved the goal we set for them. Drew Goodman from Virginia raised $5,350 and Sarah Council from Mississippi raised $3,000. Thank you so much to everyone that supported these children. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone that supported us and our vision to find a cure.

Yesterday I had another series of images and a meeting with my amazing neurosurgeon. I am thankful to report that the beast is still gone. For now, we will be thankful for this gift. I've read books and articles on finding and identifying your hopes. I've hoped in the darkest of times. I never expected to find hope in a desert. I did. I never did have the opportunity to confront the boy that hurt me, though. Believe me, I was looking for him the whole time I was there. He just wasn't to be found. I did. January 3rd Hadley's Pop Pop, my mom's husband, was killed in an accident while on duty with the Grant County Sheriff's Office. He was killed immediately.
