Dead Man Dancing: Teacups
http://giadrosich.blogspot.com/2008/07/teacups.html
Friday, July 25, 2008. Sitting behind a table at conventions always gives rise to the following question: "Where do you get your ideas from? Hard of a question, but I falter when I consider all the parameters involved, because each piece has its own genesis. It really depends. That’s the short answer. The long answer is, well, a little more complicated. Inspiration ...Learn to se...

Dead Man Dancing: Three Sketches
http://giadrosich.blogspot.com/2009/06/three-sketches.html
Tuesday, June 2, 2009. I've been doing a lot of conceptual work lately, because most of my canvas and paints are packed up until August. The first and last are conceptual sketches and will have to be developed further, while the second is a finished pencil sketch currently being colored in Photoshop CS:. I love the Old Kingdom series by Garth Nix, and have done several of the characters from the books. This is a sketch of the main character. More work appearing soon. September 23, 2009 at 8:28 AM.

Dead Man Dancing: Up and Dancing
http://giadrosich.blogspot.com/2008/06/up-and-dancing.html
Tuesday, June 24, 2008. Good grief, not. We would be here, like, forever. First things first. This is a blog about art (mine and others), with an occasional diversion into the wacky world of global culture. I have an ongoing fascination with the people, things, and places that attain the coveted designation of "popular," as well as those which fall by the wayside. Below is my first offering. Originally brushed in 1998, The Storyteller. Was done for Imagine Roleplaying. June 26, 2008 at 1:28 PM. Watermark...

Dead Man Dancing: February 2013
http://giadrosich.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Back in the Saddle. I’m back. It’s been a long process, but, as the saying goes, “anything worth anything takes a while.” If that is true, my life thus far must be priceless! As most of you know, in late January, I mad the eastward transition from Changsha, China back to Seattle. Upon reflection, it was a lot harder coming in this. Direction than it was going in that. Direction. As to the “why,” I’m still working that one out. So…what’s next? Lots of new art! Painters by Joh...

Dead Man Dancing: Snow. Give Me Snow
http://giadrosich.blogspot.com/2008/12/snow-give-me-snow.html
Monday, December 29, 2008. Snow Give Me Snow. Lots going on, which I'll be elaborating on in the near future. This is, after all, an art blog, so regular updates will be coming in 2009, even if it is only a sketch or two. Here are some of the highlights: I'm currently working on two book projects. The first is an illustrated edition of 20 original short stories with accompanying illustrations. The stories range from being set in the modern day to fantasy. How all of these will play out in the mix remains...
