http://thesearethedays-varvel.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
These are the days. Saturday, March 20, 2010. Nathan had another great soccer season with slightly less singing and wrestling his teammates during the game this year. He did come up missing in one game but we found him at the near by playground. Brooklyn is playing the flute this year and we were able to see her perform and the school musical concert. She did a great job! Clayton turned 12 this year. He got the Priesthood and is passing the sacrament and we are so proud of the young man he has become...

http://thesearethedays-varvel.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
These are the days. Thursday, September 27, 2012. A few minutes to reflect. Maybe it is because I haven't felt good now for 3 weeks.Maybe it is because I have a slow day and I'm not hurrying off to workout or run errands.but today as my 3 younger kids crossed the road to go to school I stopped and watched and thought about how much I love them and lucky I am to be their mother. I love how Brooklyn holds Chloe's hand to cross the busy street. I love how Nathan is always running everywhere he goes. Chloe: ...

These are the days...: October 2009

These are the days. Sunday, October 18, 2009. October Camping on the rim! The forecast called for one last warm spell the middle of October so we headed for the mountains. We camped 20 miles north of Strawberry on forest road 300 in Kehls. Springs campground. This campground is just off the forest road that winds along the edge of the Mogollon. Rim and the views were incredible. We were not sure what to expect. Having never been in this area. The campground was old and had restrooms and a lot. On the fin...

These are the days...: Gone Country!
http://thesearethedays-varvel.blogspot.com/2011/09/gone-country.html
These are the days. Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Entry and Formal Room After. Backyard and Patio After. In May we purchased this home with the intent to sell. Within a week we had fallen in love with the property, the neighbors and the options county property would give us in the future. It made no sense to either Scott or I but the pull to this property was undeniable. I know many of you thought we were crazy as well. You were right! This paragraph will be short! The bulk of the work is done. Your house...

These are the days. Tuesday, January 12, 2010. On the road of life together for 15 years! Over 15 years ago we met as the result of a not so subtle set up by your sister and I thought I loved you then. After three years of marriage. You gave me a son, the first of 4 beautiful children. Laying in the hospital holding him for the first time you looked angelic and I thought I loved you then. When you found me Sister! Love you more every day. Let the holidays begin. Had just opened a gourmet. Picture Window ...

These are the days...: Restoring Honor
http://thesearethedays-varvel.blogspot.com/2010/09/p.html
These are the days. Saturday, September 25, 2010. As many of you know, we made a trip to Washington DC in August to attend the "Restoring Honor" Rally. We went with my Sister Kim, and Darrin and Liza Larsen and we had a blast. We by no means are political activist, nor was this a political event, but we felt this gathering was different than any in history and we wanted to be there. It was Organized by Glenn Beck, and proceeds benefited the Wounded Warrior Foundation. Just as important was the message th...

These are the days. Monday, October 25, 2010. Things I thought I'd never do. We all probably have lists of things we don't want or need to experience. I like to think of it as setting our personal boundaries. We know our own limits and capabilities and we are just protecting ourselves. I've thought a lot about this the last couple of weeks and I think instead of setting boundaries for myself I was setting 'limits' for my life experience and achievements. Why would you eat that? I tried it for the first t...
