Living Social had a deal for a Pick Your Own Lavender Farm, so we headed out into the rolling hills of Virginia. We got out of the sun, and they had a couple bunnies. Evan got to hold one, he did pretty good for 2 seconds. Then it was time for a quick ride on a rocking horse before nap time. Monday, May 7, 2012. First Day of School (daycare).

Wednesday, February 8, 2012. I started the year and promptly broke my resolution to write a blog once a week. Well I guess the resolution was a little too ambitious when you are trying to move an entire family to the opposite coast. So starting now, we will get this blog back on track. The first thing we had to do was get the house packed up. Evan wanted to help. He did a great job keeping track of the movers and followed them all over the house. Hey look who finally woke up to see the Lincoln Memorial :).

Saturday, August 6, 2011. Wow, I cannot belive that July has past and we are now in August. Just like time, Evan hasn't slowed down to smell the flowers. This past month he visited the doctor for his regular checkup and a few more shots; he was 26 inches tall and just under 18 pounds. Although I think the process was a little to long and Evan was quickly distracted by the apporaching bedtime. My house is so empty and quiet. and even Leinie is wondering where the kids are. They both walked right in with no fear! Anna has Mrs. Bell and Joseph has Mrs. Eichenberger. It's just not right to think this is the last day that any of my babies will go to preschool! Joseph is beyond ready for Kindergarten though. He's mastered his letters and numbers, he's a great helper, and the teachers love him almost as much as we do. He's going to conquer the world and melt hearts in the process. The kids did a great job helping me make the pumpkin pies and they did an even better job eating the pies! It was a nice day spent with family and friends.
