Flying Objects is a series of inanimate objects tossed in the air and photographed against a sky background. Originally it was personal project that I made into an exhibition. Parco Department Store saw them and asked me to shoot an advertising campaign of posters and TV commercial based on this theme. Flying Objects was also used as the main visual for a music video that I shot and directed for the group Seven.

Panorama series started when the scene I was taking was too wide to fit into my viewfinder. I ended up taking a number of photos and then I collage them into one picture. This approach is very interesting as it gives me freedon to compose images that are no longer confined to the format of a camera frame.

This is my shoot from the hip style photos taken on the streets Japan. A collaboration between Mary Yamada’s essays and my photography, it ran as a regular feature in Weekly Yomiuri Magazine. After the series was completed, it was published as a book titled Anti Bambi Syndrome.
