Monday, December 10, 2012. A few years ago, before we had any kids, my wife wanted to pick out some material to custom make some stockings for the fireplace at Christmastime. I objected, as I do to most things, but then succumbed to the pressure. I made a very public joke about them making six stockings at the time. Remember, we didnt even have one child then. This past week, I was eagerly awaiting the news to trickle down from the judges of the Next Top Credit Union Executive competition that I am a part of. They were to be deciding upon the top 5 in the competition. Those top 5 would move on to the finals, present at a big conference in Florida in November and the champagne would flow. It's been exactly one year since we moved into our new home. There are still many things we want to do to it, but that's what makes it so great. I don't think I would enjoy it as much if everything was finished and perfect. Where's the fun in that? A few folks at Kelly's baby shower in our living room. Brad's family around our breakfast table at Thanksgiving. Most of the pictures I have are of our Christmas decorations. This is our fireplace. She also enjoys what we have dubbed "nakie time", where she gets to lay on the changing pad or a quilt with her diaper undone and kick her legs all around.
