Whilst we were back in England for a number of engagements we decided to take the grandchildren to a short break at the camping and caravan club site at Kingsbury water park just north of Birmingham. Travels with our van. Road trip Spring 2010. Set off for Dover end of March heading for sunshine after long dull winter. Catch late. Ferry and overnight at the channel tunnel pets check in now a regular stop for us secure. Leave early next morning heading South East no route planned no destination in mind,. Only criteria no toll roads, and minimum motorway mileage. Find ourselves skirting along. The Belgium France border heading for Charleville in Champagne Ardennes, sat nav says. Stayed one night .

Left next morning after spending a few Euros in Carrefour, used the free motorways (no tolls for us) then the A road network to travel to Troyes and into the municipal campsite a regular stop for us, a big s.
