June 25, 2012. Day 4: The surest way to fail is to determine to succeed. Sunday, the day of rest Unless you’re less than 10 weeks away. From doing a kayak, run and mountain bike through the Brecon Beacons. After Saturday’s awesome run, I gave the running a break today and opted again to focus on core muscles and doing some work with VERY LIGHT weights! I don’t want to build lots of muscle as it will be harder to carry myself through the running aspect of the event. Anyways, here is what I scoffed today:.

BUT, I turned down the bad choices, as hard as it was and made the right choices. And oh my do I feel better for it right now! So, what did I actually eat while ‘on the go’ today? Breakfast: Activia yoghurt and grapes. Evening meal: Egg noodles with tofu and vegetables.

June 25, 2012. Day 5: A light heart lives long. I’m all fajita’d up! They tasted gooooood though and were full of healthy veggies Much needed after a good run! Yup, another decent run under my wing, again pushing myself a little bit further than the last time I ran. I followed it up with a good session of sit-ups, plank and press-ups. Todays diet:. Breakfast: Fruit and fibre. Lunch: Wholemeal pasta, veggie meatballs and veg in sauce (OK, that was last nights leftovers). Evening meal: Chicken fajitas.

I feel good the end of day 3 mostly because after my very mediocre, possibly even poor excuse for a run on day 1, I managed to push myself a lot further AND didn’t get struck down by the dreaded stitch!
