In 1995, I went to Saint Hubert where our Belgian National Glider Center is located. Initially, my first site was dedicated to fly with a Nimbus 3T. I flew with it during several years.

Glider pilots do it better. What a surprise I got when removing the cap which protect the trailer hook. Some of our flying friends did use my trailer as a support for their nest. My most preferred gliders. My first glider I owned was a ASW-17 glider. The ASW-17 is a glass fiber glider of the first generation with a wing span of 20 meters. Glider pilots do it better. Ingar is solo launched on the tractor. When not flying . Vagamo is a small norvegian city. When not flying, there is always the time to help other pilots to push the glider on or out off the runway, discuss between us, or work on the airfield improvment. Discussion over the Turbo engine? Ingar Pedersen and Ingar Brenna taking some relax time.

Glider pilots do it better. Flying provides fantastic opportunities to meet people from various horizons and cultures. The Wavecamp " The Extreme Altitude Challenge. Organised in Vagamo (Norway) by the Drammen Flight Club. Is one of my favorite place where I am flying. The Royal Verviers Aviation. Club, also know in Belgium as R.V.A., is my home base in Belgium. A very good internet site is the one of Jim Phoenix. Briefings, another way to meet people and makes friends around the same passion.

Glider pilots do it better. These last years, at many occasion I saw that glider manufacturer are designing the wheel system in a more robust way than in the past. Amortisation iand hydraulic wheel brake are now very common. The LAK 20 Turbo . A lot of room is necessary for handling such a big glider. Canopy of the back seat has a real uncommon shape. The canopy is mounted on 2 pistons. Preparation time for such a glider is longer than for a standard glider. How can we switch on the flight computer?

The wavecamp 2009 organised by the Drammen Flight club is another opportunity for discovering gliders from very close. My attention was attracted this time by a DG505 Self-launch glider. This glider is really beautifull.
