Tales from the attic: The Great War
http://talesfromtheattik.blogspot.com/2015/07/the-great-war.html
Tales from the attic. Tuesday, 7 July 2015. I finally managed to pop round to the post office to pick up my most recent kickstarter I backed. This one has been tremendous with regular updates and has arrived in a respectable timescale. So what's in the box. The usual suspects for a Richard Borg, 12x11 hex map, cards, counters, special dice and rules with 16 scenarios. Another 2 scenarios come with the deal as well as 10 artillery models. That's all for tonight but I think this will feature again soon.

Double Six : October 2014
http://doublesixgaming.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Here Come the Yanks. Another 48 Hours in May. Tuesday, 21 October 2014. Things are starting to get back to normal at home, sort of, ish. Ian and I decided to have a game of Chain of Command this week. This would give Ian a chance to use his Americans, as most of the games that he has played so far have been using the French in early war scenarios. The view up the board from the German edge. The start of the German deployment. The view up the table. My advance was going wrong and I had not even fired a sh...

Musings on Wargaming and Life: You're Men Aren't You?
http://musingswargameslife.blogspot.com/2015/08/youre-men-arent-you.html
Musings on Wargaming and Life. A lighthearted look at wargaming etc. Unforgiven' Old West Scenarios. Was Gettysburg a Decisive Battle. Was Confederate Defeat Inevitable. Wednesday, 5 August 2015. You're Men Aren't You? If you play DMH then there are two 'gangs' the citizens and the baddies, Charlie and Boss do not need to take a Big Nerve Test the others do, as for the characters I recommend these :. Boss Spearman- Range Boss. Charlie Waite - 'Man with no name'. Citizens - Citizens, with three being Dudes.

The Flying Shed: Forgeworld Mortarion
http://theflyingshed.blogspot.com/2015/06/forgeworld-mortarion.html
Sunday, 28 June 2015. Been busy recently painting up Mortarion from Forgeworld. Bit of a change for me as i don't play 40K, but i do like some of the models. The detail on the model was amazing and great to paint, i particularly like the idea of a display base and a gaming base on these centrepiece models, think it shows them off well. Tried out using some weathering powders on the armor and base to age it, think it turned out rather well. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Star Wars LEGO Slave 1.

Tales from the attic: December 2014
http://talesfromtheattik.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Tales from the attic. Friday, 26 December 2014. Ice and fire pt 1. I thought I'd post my first game of lion rampant for my ice and fire themed games. It will in no way follow the books but take its own path and will have many twists and turns along the way. It starts with a scenario from the rule book whereby one force has to find and safely retrieve an escaped enemy captive. She is said to be hiding in a nearby village. Immediately Rob mobilises some men and they head out. He must find his mother quickly.

Double Six : February 2015
http://doublesixgaming.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Here Come the Yanks. Another 48 Hours in May. Tuesday, 24 February 2015. Gruagach in the Woods. Back to Middle Earth for this week’s game. I got a pack of Woses for Christmas and they were pretty much the first things I painted this year. They only appear in one scenario, in the Return of the King book. In this scenario the Rohan are trying to sneak through some forests that are infested with Orcs and other nasties loyal to Sauron. The view up the board from the Orc edge. Woses skuking in the woods.

Double Six : January 2015
http://doublesixgaming.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Here Come the Yanks. Another 48 Hours in May. Wednesday, 21 January 2015. Round 4 in the Underhive. Round 4 of our Necromunda campaign and four of us turned up:. Me with my Cawdor. Rory with his Redemptionists. Andy with his squats. Dave with his Goliath Mob. We rolled for random deployment again and I ended up deployed between Andy and Rory, with Dave on the opposite table edge. Andy got the first turn, with me second, then Rory and Dave going last. Under fire right from the start! Andy hastily redeploy...
