Thursday, April 30, 2015. So at the end of our spring break vacation we decided to take Olivia to the Medford LDS Temple to do baptisms. Before the vacation started it sounded like a fun way to end the week, but by the end of a VERY filled week we were feeling pretty exhausted! It's interesting though that when you push through "hard things" and do what is right (even if you are tired! The Lord has a way of blessing you and showing you his tender mercies. Friday, December 26, 2014. Here's a quick highlight of our time there (for the benefit of my sister Jill who is going in a few months and so we will remember ourselves! We didn't cram as much in as we usually do on vacations because one I was sick with pneumonia and two we wanted to just relax and enjoy our parents and soak up the PCC with them. Saturday, June 28, 2014. Elder and Sister Portie come visit us in Bonney Lake. Olivia with grandparents after church. Monday, June 30th, the day grandma and grandpa enter the MTC. Finally the morning that grandma and grandpa leave for the airport the top of Mount Rainier finally peeked through the clouds. This is the view we have as we are leaving our neighborhood. Wednesday, October 8, 2014. I was nervous for the interview but it seemed to be going very well. There were 3 people interviewing me; Brandon, the other VP and a district principal intern. At the conclusion of the interview Brandon told me that he was going to be very transparent with me and tell me that I have the job! Thursday, January 16, 2014. For some reason, I don't like the term "New Year Resolutions." It seems too cliche, commercialized, overwhelming, stress-inducing and depressing. In 2013 I set a couple goals, and I'm happy to report that I accomplished them. I wanted to run a race after training. Check. I wanted to return to college. Double check.
