Tuesday, March 31, 2015. I had a free night and headed to downtown Little Rock to take a few pictures. I ended up at the Junction Bridge, a spot where I've taken a ton of pictures at before. But not many with the new camera! This is one of my favorite places to take pictures at in Little Rock, and it has one of the best views of the skyline. The lights on the bridges were green for St. Patrick's Day. Links to this post. Sunday, March 29, 2015. In Pine Bluff, several of the old abandoned buildings along M...

Thursday, July 30, 2015. Sixty years later, Central High is still a working school and annually ranks as one of the best schools in the state (which part of me hates admitting since Central was my high school's big rival - go North Little Rock Charging Wildcats! Saturday, February 28, 2015. Over the past two weeks, a few snow storms have moved through Little Rock. And since everyone panics at the mere mention of a snowflake, the city was shut down for a few days. I headed out one evening, trying to get a few pictures before all the snow had melted. I was a little too late, since it was above freezing and the city was slowly thawing. The first stop was the state capitol, where most of the snow had already melted. Links to this post. Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Links to this post. Thursday, January 22, 2015. We headed home the next day, but I made one stop along the way. There is an old barn near Subiaco that I wanted to see, since it's leaning a bit and probably won't be standing too much longer. Links to this post. Wednesday, January 21, 2015. The next night I battled rush hour traffic again and went to the Two Rivers Bridge. It was very cold, below freezing, as I stood trying to get a few shots right after sunset. I walked along ...

Sunday, May 31, 2015. A really good photographer that I follow ( Linda Henderson. Posted a few photos of an old church, which of course made me want to go and find it. I've been trying to track down a bunch of old churches around the state, with the thought of eventually taking some star trail pictures there. So last weekend I headed out to the old church, which is located near the small town of Mt. Vernon. Links to this post. Saturday, May 30, 2015. Wednesday, July 29, 2015. I had a free evening, so I decided to go and try to take a few pictures. It was a stormy night, which resulted in a pretty dramatic sunset. This is the view from the Clinton Library, with some clouds being lit up by the sunset. And a view of the Arkansas River and a distant storm, from the Clinton Park Bridge. The storm here is actually above the town of Danville, which is about 75-80 miles away. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Chicago - Part 3. Chicago - Part 2.

Tuesday, November 25, 2014. We were entertaining some out-of-state visitors a few weeks ago, showing them around Little Rock. Which of course meant a visit to the Clinton Presidential Library, which just celebrated its tenth anniversary. I had only been inside the library once since it opened, so it was interesting to see how things have aged over the last few years. Links to this post. Sunday, November 23, 2014. Thursday, April 30, 2015. Fall Creek Falls (Tennessee). The next stop was at an overlook of Piney Creek Falls. Here, the 95 foot tall falls crash into a narrow ravine. This is a really nice park, with a lot of great places to stop and look around. This view of the creek, passing under a bluff, was taken right by the road. After heading down some steps you reach Cane Creek Cascades, which have been listed as 45 feet tall. The creek then rushes under these bluffs, before curving over Cane Creek Falls.

Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Wrong Side Of The Tracks. I headed back towards home, driving back up Hwy. 65. The sky was starting to promise a nice sunset, so I tried to find a good spot to stop along the side of the road. This was in the small town of Tillar, where the camera immediately fogged up again in the thick humidity. Links to this post. Monday, August 25, 2014. Bryan Simonson — Break The Path, and Let's Get Going
Break The Path, and Let’s Get Going. Predictions for 2013 NFL season. September 5, 2013. Before it’s too late, I wanted to post my predictions for the 2013 football season. I think the Seahawks will go at least 12-4, but I really believe they will go even higher 13-3 or 14-2. My money (and my homer heart) is on 14-2. It’s fun to look back at these little time capsules. I think it’ll be between the Seahawks and the Packers in the NFC championship. Other teams’ records. Nokia Lumia 920 Review. June 5, 2013.
