Steve and Sarah Curtis. Sunday, November 21, 2010. We arrived at the hospital to be induced the morning of Nov 3rd. At that point I was 9 days past my due date, 90% effaced and dilated to a 3. Pitocin was started, but after getting to the highest dose allowed at 2am the next morning and no real progress, we decided to give it a break, get a few hours of sleep and try again later that morning. I got my epidural, and when the midwife came to check on me a few hours later I was at a 10 and ready to push!

I'm dilated, effaced, and ready to go any second. But have been for two weeks now and still nothing. He was born a little guy - 6 lbs 7 oz and 18 in, which made for a quick delivery, which I appreciated. My birth story is interesting. I will have to share in an upcoming post.
