Dominican Republic 2008: Santo Domingo
http://dominicanrepublic2008.blogspot.com/2008/09/santo-domingo.html
Thursday, September 4, 2008. OK, this isn't fair to Santo Domingo. We spent only a few rare moments in the touristy or historic areas of the Dominican Republic. These images don't serve justice to the extensive cultural and historical depth of the city. This is the Columbus family palace. It was built by Christopher Columbus's son, Diego, and overlooks the River Ozama and large Plaza Espana. It is crazy old. 500 years? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Bryce Boyer Photography Blog.

Africa, October 2007: October 2007
http://africabryce.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Africa, October 2007. Wednesday, October 24, 2007. Howdy Sorry I've been slow to write. Our days are super long. We don't get back our hotel rooms until about 10 pm. I've been so jet lagged that I could barely talk comprehensively at dinner last night, much less make a post after downloading images and archiving them. I took a sleeping pill last night and finally slept well. I was a back to 100 percent today and full of energy. Holy cow. That's a statistic that you don't here on CNN. Compassion supports ...

Africa, October 2007: Masai
http://africabryce.blogspot.com/2007/10/blog-post_7835.html
Africa, October 2007. Monday, October 22, 2007. It's an all day affair. People walk for miles and miles to come from all over the area. Nobody came in cars but us. Since all the many choirs of the church shared their music with the group, the group was asked to get up and share a song with them. I don't think anyone was expecting that! October 23, 2007 at 4:23 AM. But probably more fun than our Episcopal one. (Not meaning it is not very spirit filled as well)The people don't have to speed home in the...

Africa, October 2007: Oct. 18, A "Not so Fresh" Start
http://africabryce.blogspot.com/2007/10/oct-18-not-so-fresh-start.html
Africa, October 2007. Friday, October 19, 2007. Oct 18, A "Not so Fresh" Start. OK folks, I hope this will be my only negative post. The bad news is that I missed my flight from Chicago to Amsterdam. It's a long story, but know that I did my best. I'm not one to look for the Devil in the details, but it sure seems that he doesn't want me to get there. I've faced obsticals at every turn:. Hours in bumper to bumber traffic on the way to the airport. Extra long lines at the counters and security. Instead, I...

Africa, October 2007: Made it!
http://africabryce.blogspot.com/2007/10/made-it.html
Africa, October 2007. Sunday, October 21, 2007. Good news. I'm here. It's 4am and I just got settled in my hotel room. We didn't get in until 2:30am. I'm here, I'm safe. that's what really matters. Up at 6:30am. Life is 10 percent what happens to you and 90 percent how you react to it.". My mom used to say that. Words to live by. I wish I was there. as no fun as it sounds, sounds like an adventure to me. I know the feeling. sooooo bored and taking pictures of the planes rolling by. Only two days late!
