Adventures across the Atlantic. Adventures in money and media. May 30, 2010 in Uncategorized. I arrived in New York City on Tuesday afternoon, and since then it’s been a crazy whirlwind tour of moving into two friends’ apartments (until my lease starts June 1), three all-day media tours, checking out several ethnic restaurants in the evenings, and a few good coffee shops. I go to sleep to the sound of subway trains every five minutes roaring down the tracks, and wake up to Gospel music blaring out the do...

Adventures across the Atlantic. New York Bucket List. May 21, 2010 in Uncategorized. Here’s a list of just a few things I can’t wait to do once I arrive in New York City. Actually getting to visit the art galleries and musicals and concerts recommended in the front pages of the New Yorker. Instead of lamenting in them being hundreds of miles away. Free concerts (and ...

Whether it’s any of the following: free movies on Mondays in Bryant Park. Free concerts in Prospect Park for Celebrate Brooklyn. Including one of my favorite bands, The Swell Season), art museums. Or a documentary film fes...

But with that said, there is more diversity here than anywhere I’ve ever lived(except maybe closely followed by Brussels, which is headquarters for the EU and NATO). Adventures across the Atlantic. June 15, 2010 in Uncategorized. Here are a few more photos with some great friends I was so happy to run into while in Missouri. There are several people I’m sad I won’t see for a while again. Here are some of them. Many people, even some of our good friends, get us mixed up far too often! It was so great hanging out with Patrick this past year before he heads back to Asia. To which they replied, YES! Two former inhabitants of The Roost. I love these guys! You are commenti...
