Brian is on duty for the next full day, so he invited me to the ship to have dinner with him in the wardroom. He's OOD (officer of the day) on Wednesdays while the ship is on stand down, so our new tradition is that when he gets off work on Thursday morning, he drives out to the Contra Costa Times newsroom and has lunch with me.
