The poetic musings of a Existential, Transcendental Romantic. Sunday, April 13, 2014. When I was a teenager, I belonged to this lovely organization in my church called Young Women. Eleven feet long, covered from ceiling to baseboards with these little handouts. I was a Young Women NERD. And in that moment, I desired to lead a group of Young Women myself some day in the future. Today is that day. I feel very lucky to have had the amazing influences of older women in my life through this program. Each ...

The poetic musings of a Existential, Transcendental Romantic. Wednesday, August 13, 2014. My Rights as a Woman. A little while ago I saw a TED talk about women in the workplace. The woman giving the talk shared a bunch of facts. I can't remember the exact numbers, but it was something like 15% of all executive level jobs are held by women. Which is not enough. Because I don't want to be an executive. I don't even want to stay in the workplace for longer than I have to. What happened to that? Absolutely n...

The poetic musings of a Existential, Transcendental Romantic. Wednesday, July 6, 2011. June 25, 2011=Crazy. So I meant to write this sooner.once again I suck at this updating thing. But here it is. JoNeale is super chill and not into formality so they weren't taking pictures for very long. Since I had pressing matters to attend to, I only stayed to take lots of pictures of JoNeale and her family and one of us together. :). We talked about getting our vaccinations, planned out our service to two Peruvian ...

The only person here that is being grown up about the situation is Garrett and his friend and they are 8 years old. That's what I wanted to say but didn't to avoid an argument and It’s not my place to intrude on their family issues. I just hope someone realizes they are being an idiot. Tuesday, August 4, 2009. The poetic musings of a Existential, Transcendental Romantic. Friday, December 13, 2013. Today, I took on a new role in my life. That is the role of Aunt. My little sister had a daughter today. 8 lbs, 5 oz. 21 in. I hope my niece is happy with her choice of an aunt (well, all six of her aunts, just on my side). I want to do my best to make her happy about it. Hopefully she likes the very Scottish Christmas present I got her. :). Here is a picture of my mom holding the baby:. Posted by Miss Laura Whitney.
