Saturday, July 23, 2011. These two images were created a while ago but they are in the current issue of Imagine FX magazine and can be seen in the Q&A section. The Art of Nelson Cowie: Creature feature
http://nelsoncowie.blogspot.com/2011/11/creature-feature.html
Tuesday, 29 November 2011. Creatures are something I've not tried before (although I'm not too sure why). I thought it was about time to remedy that issue and 'bug-out'. Here's my first attempt at painting a 'Little Bugger'. This one was definitely a lot of fun to do so there's more Little Buggers in 'mid-WIPpery'! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Art of Nelson Cowie: Alas poor Yorick!!
http://nelsoncowie.blogspot.com/2012/03/alas-poor-yorick.html
Monday, 12 March 2012. I slapped some graphite around that outline I posted last week and here's what came out. Overall I'm pretty pleased with the results seeing that it's been such a long time since I 'dabbled' in traditional materials. Will definitely be trying out more! Used a couple of new fineline erasers during this piece made by Tombow and supplied by Cult Pens in the U.K. A link to their site. The prices are excellent and service is awesome. Well worth paying them a visit!
The Art of Nelson Cowie: July update
http://nelsoncowie.blogspot.com/2011/07/july-update.html
Wednesday, 20 July 2011. Time has flown by since the last update. Here's a couple of recent wips. This first was inspired by James Paick's tutorial in Issue 41 of ImagineFX magazine. This other piece is a colour study wip from a photo I took of a lock on a local canal. There are no texture overlays used on this one, but I did make my own brick and grass brushes. The rest is painted from the reference photo. Hope you like 'em! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom.

We went to this town somewhere in Italy, and ate at McDonald's it was the most frustrating experience, I didn't know Italian and they apparently didn't really know English. Buy it was a pretty restaurant and this was one of the views from out table, I didn't know McDonald's could be so posh. This stop sign was from the drive-thru at yet another McDonald's (and I wonder why I can't lose these last 5 pounds) Once again someone.
