Compassionate Hope: September 2011
http://compassionatehope.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 11, 2011. What do you want me to do (aka: how can I get out of this)? And the answer seemed to be, "I want you right here. To prove it, I'll add a little more. There you go. Feel that? That's where I'm God and you're not.". I've never felt more energetic, more wholly alive." Oh, those are good days. Days of feeling doubly blessed. (My Honduras friends know what I mean.). Compassionate Hope: Take a Break
http://compassionatehope.blogspot.com/2012/03/take-break.html
Sunday, March 25, 2012. Now it's spring break and for the past two days the sun has been shining and the daffodils are beginning to thaw. Yesterday I ran for 5 miles under blue sky with a gentle breeze. I went out to dinner with friends and wore sandals. My hope is set high for warmer temperatures and a change from the gray dreariness of our NW winter. I'm sensing the theme of a break from the routine. Which brings me to the Parable of the Growing Seed, Mark 4:26-29. Whoathat's some mighty big power!

Friday, July 29, 2011. In Need of Compassionate Hope for Tomorrow. I whined to my friends at the party, "I just want to stay here and talk with you." Yep, I whined like a little girl. Like the little girl in my own family with whom I was frustrated. I wonder where she gets it? Links to this post. Sunday, July 17, 2011. Links to this post. Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Compassionate Hope: Called, Equipped, and Ready to Serve
http://compassionatehope.blogspot.com/2012/03/called-equipped-and-ready-to-serve.html
Monday, March 26, 2012. Called, Equipped, and Ready to Serve. Yeah, right. When does that ever happen? But I often wonder how many times we wait, dismiss, or don’t even investigate the possibility of service because we don’t feel called, equipped, and ready to serve all at once? This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but it is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Compassionate Hope: June 2011

Monday, June 27, 2011. Beach House by Jolee Akins. At the end of the school year one of my favorite things is going through all the girls' papers from the year. They like to throw most of it out. But sometimes you find a treasure worth keeping. Yesterday Jolee showed me a story she wrote about our trip to the beach with 4 other families last September. I think it's worth sharing. Beach House by Jolee Akins. Now after I think 2 and a half or 3 hours, we arrived at the beach house. I was so amazed! Where I...
