It’s All About the Little Things. November 6, 2015. Today I got a plate of rice.Today I got just a plate of rice! I know that may not seem like a big deal but it was an enormous gift for me today. That small but meaningful gesture kept hitting me in happy waves today. As I walked to the market, to the church, into my house at the end of a long day, all I could think was, “Wow. Some Really Fresh Turkey. December 4, 2015. I am a relatively emotionally stable person. I’m not a big crier (unless a commercial is especially moving) and I’m rarely ecstatic. I like to sit in a nice area of general contentment. I like to smile and be silly. I also like to discuss and think deeply. But always from a place of comfortable emotional distance.
