Desolation Wilderness Vision (updated). The vision for this outing and the limits within which we must work are:. 35 miles round trip. Average about 5 miles hiking in a day. Fishing for trout EVERY day. Leave No Trace principles put into practice and discussed every day. No more than 12 people in the group. No more than 4 adults.

Announcement: Backpacking in the Desolation Wilderness. Troop 14 will be having a high adventure outing (for older scouts) this summer. We plan to spend August 9-17 in the Desolation Wilderness near South Lake Tahoe. In addition to hiking, there will be opportunities for trout fishing on almost a daily basis.
