February 8, 2012. You will need access to the Sniffy program AND the book. Review the introduction to operant conditioning pp. 41-49. Don’t worry about the punishment stuff for now. You will want to review Prior’s 10 Laws of Shaping before shaping Sniffy. Starting on p. 53, do magazine training. Then skip to the cumulative record section (p. 59) and learn how to turn that on. Turn that on while you are shaping Sniffy. For the first paper, I will ask you to print out your cumulative record for shaping.

Rat training for Psychology of Learning. Mission operant box complete! March 14, 2012 – 10:40 pm. The most surprising thing was how quickly rats learn (and how quickly mine forgets! I don’t think I really had any misconceptions prior to this experience. What little knowledge I had of rats was filtered through the eyes of my friends who have pet rats.
