When I said "I swear to God I'll update my blog this weekend, I really mean it this time," I meant to say "I swear to God I'll update my blog next. Weekend, I really mean it this time.". Here are some left-overs from the end of my internship last May/June in Chattanooga. I worked on this "Best of Preps" project, and the winners wrote about their first sports memory. So the idea was to have the athletes shot holding a picture of themselves playing their sport as a kid. Posted by Brandon at 4:32 PM.

Here are some more pictures from work:. I've been doing a lot of prep sports lately, namely basketball and wrestling. I don't really have access to a dynalight set or anything, so I've been going super high ISO or occasionally bouncing my 580 off the ceiling. We had our first (and so far only) snow of the season at the beginning of this month. It was pretty neat and I kinda wanted to be sledding down the hill with those college kids. But it was really fun to shoot it, too. Here is how it ran in the paper:.

I got nothin': This is not it

http://addyunknown.blogspot.com/2008/11/this-is-not-it.html

Sunday, November 02, 2008. This is not it. Found his place in the world. Meanwhile, I'm as lost as ever. There's never been a place that clicked for me. Just the people. A place is just somewhere to be at some point in time. Work is just something to fill your time and make money. It's all pointless, really. I get more detached everyday from everything. To the point where writing isn't fun anymore. Or maybe it never was. And that's when I decided that home is the people. For me, anyway. Already getting s...

I got nothin': The worst kind of feeling

http://addyunknown.blogspot.com/2008/09/worst-kind-of-feeling.html

Wednesday, September 17, 2008. The worst kind of feeling. If you were to go through all my blogs, all my journals, all my rantings, you could probably find that I write about this a lot. Maybe it's the sort of masochistic exercise that I believe may make me feel better. Welcome to the pity party. I hate feeling it. But if I were in control, why would I want to? It's really easy to become the total opposite. Love can easily become hatred; happiness, sadness. Odi et amo, Quare id faciam, fortasse requiris.

I got nothin': Back to Typing to Noone

http://addyunknown.blogspot.com/2008/10/back-to-typing-to-noone.html

Monday, October 13, 2008. Back to Typing to Noone. So, trying not to fall out of updating. Tall people are cool. I wish I was tall. I went into an interview last week at the University of Maryland at College Park. For a flash developer position at the National Foreign Language Center. So much for journalism. The receptionist/secretary/person was a really tall guy. Really. Tall. But it wouldn't even have phased me if not for what happened after the Committee of Twelve ( ok. Oh, such ominous words. But eve...

I got nothin': Yellow backwards is Wolley

http://addyunknown.blogspot.com/2008/09/yellow-backwards-is-wolley.html

Tuesday, September 23, 2008. Yellow backwards is Wolley. As I sit and stare straight ahead on the metro. The big letters hold my attention. "Yellow.". Nothing is black and white. Posted by Rick at 9:14 PM. In the words of John Irving: "Just waiting and seeing." from Cider House Rules. View my complete profile. The worst kind of feeling. Double you tea eff. Some meaning to the Title. And no pink today, but . Its easy to wear green. Dance, robot, dance! Grow up, Google. Work, Eat, Sleep, repeat.

http://addyunknown.blogspot.com/2008/09/metronoming.html

Saturday, September 20, 2008. Swinging back and forth. Now I'm in the middle. When I start working and getting into things, everything else seems trivial. No time to be happy or sad, healthy or unhealthy, there is only what I do. Posted by Rick at 11:44 PM. In the words of John Irving: "Just waiting and seeing." from Cider House Rules. I got nothin': My name is

http://addyunknown.blogspot.com/2008/10/my-name-is.html

Wednesday, October 22, 2008. I woke up one day, and my name did not feel like my name. I could not identify with it. It just felt very detached from me. It was actually semi-scary, to not be attached to a name. It sort of feel like I was falling out of the reality I knew. But really, isn't my name just a construction of society? I mean, the name most people know me by isn't really my name. And who knows if my name is really my name. It could've been something else and no one ever told me.

I got nothin': When the world collapses onto you all at once.

http://addyunknown.blogspot.com/2008/10/when-world-collapses-onto-you-all-at.html

Friday, October 17, 2008. When the world collapses onto you all at once. Sometimes it can be a nice realization that, hey, I'm still alive in the world. Other times, I'd rather lie in bed all day and think about the good old times. And then, there are those other other times, when all you want to do is get a hair cut. Hopefully fun to talk to. But first, I'd have to sit through a meeting with a client who takes 15 minutes to say something that should only take one. Keep a smile on. I wish they had water ...

http://addyunknown.blogspot.com/2008/09/double-you-tea-eff.html

Sunday, September 14, 2008. Double you tea eff. I just saw the best wtf. Movie ever. Burn after reading. It was hilarious. I laughed so hard, I started crying. Right before movie though, as I was walking into the theater in chinatown. There were two kids leaning against a column and I almost did a double take because I could've. But, then again, words have power only because we give it power. But maybe it shouldn't be ok. Maybe that only leads the rest of the world thinking it's ok. That racial slurs dir...

I got nothin': Sing along

http://addyunknown.blogspot.com/2008/09/sing-along.html

Monday, September 15, 2008. It happens when you least expect it. When there's no reason for it. And even, there's every reason for it not to happen. But sometimes I just look at the sky and can't help but smile. And I think about why I would be happy at all and come up with all these possible reasons, which only make me happier. And tomorrow doesn't matter. And life seems like the biggest concert you've been to and all you want to do is to sing along. Posted by Rick at 7:25 PM. View my complete profile.

Monday, September 29, 2008. A missed few days. Been busy with finishing Web sites. Now Dow is down 777 points. At least it's a lucky number. Posted by Rick at 5:11 PM.
