I'm usually pretty terrible at sculpting cakes (a ton of crumbs end up in the frosting and it's kind of terrible! But this time it actually turned out pretty well! Monday, July 20, 2015. The zero percent chance of rainstorm. Have you ever had one of those moments where you look around and think, "This is a happy memory"? I had one of those the other day. Our car has been overheating again (as it turns out, a broken head gasket is beyond my car-fixing abilities) so the other night we took a family walk to the library to return some books and check out some new ones. Moments later the heavens opened and it started to rain. We ran. A little rainsoaked but plenty happy.

Yesterday for 20 minutes we had 3 two-year old boys at our house and to minimize any possible chaos (which, let's admit it, would be primarily coming from Nikolai- he has a lot of energy, especially when friends are over! Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Our sweet Miriam is 5 months old! I don't have any official stats (those will come at her 6 month checkup next month) but I weighed her this morning and she's about 14 lbs. Way to grow, baby! Still doing that wake-up-around-4-and-6 thing. Lately, I feed her sitting up at 4 am and put her back in bed, but for the 6ish one I often bring her into bed with us so I can fall back asleep easier. Oh, and she's now sleeping in a pack and play, on her tummy! Also, she might be teething?

Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Big and Little Part 2. I love our bebes. Monday, March 30, 2015. Toledo Zoo with Grandma Dolly. This past week Jesse's mom was able to come stay with us and help out with the new baby (by help out, I mean she played with Niko and held the baby while I took naps! We had a really lovely week :) At the end of it, we took a trip down to the Toledo Zoo! I don't actually have any pictures of Juli.sorry! But she was there, I promise). These monster crabs were HUGE! Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Last week, a few of our neighborhood friends were heading to the lake and had extra seats (hooray for kind friends with minivans! So Niko and Miri and I tagged along. You guys, this day was RIDICULOUSLY perfect (and that includes the sunburn I got! Saturday, August 15, 2015. Man guys, it's been 2 weeks since I've posted and so much has happened! Jesse finished his internship, we spent a few days relaxing and hanging out, I got an abscessed tooth and had to get a root canal, and we went on several short trips.
