A Small Piece of the Cosmos: Apr 30, 2013
http://katescosmos.blogspot.com/2013_04_30_archive.html
A Small Piece of the Cosmos. Tuesday, April 30, 2013. I've been visiting a church lately. Maybe that means that I'm not destined for hell after all. (sarcasm with a smile). It's interesting to me to look at myself and my motivations and try to figure out why I want to go to a church. I haven't been a regular church attender for about four years, I think. And I really haven't missed church at all. Why am I going to a church? To figure out what this whole God thing is all about? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

A Small Piece of the Cosmos. Monday, January 27, 2014. Making up for lost time. But I really don’t see my time as having been wasted at all. Did I often wish that I had children throughout the last ten years of my life? There are so many other wonderful things that I filled that time with that I wouldn’t have had if I had been having babies instead. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Check out one of these blogs. A Small Piece of the Cosmos. Thursday, September 11, 2014. I find myself deeply enamored. With the gentle freshness of the breeze. On a quiet, still morning. Every time I stop to be here. I remember it is these simple things. That pour the most beauty. Over my blessed life. If only I could remember. More moments of every day. My joy would overflow. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A Small Piece of the Cosmos. Thursday, October 10, 2013. The other day, I told a lie. The other day, I told a lie to a new acquaintance in a class at massage school. Kind of. It wasn't really a lie, but it kind of was. And I've been trying to decide why I answered her questions the way I did. What does a Christian look like? If I was a full-on atheist, would I look different? Because I grew up as a Christian, will I always look like a Christian no matter what I actually believe? It would have taken too l...

A Small Piece of the Cosmos. Thursday, April 18, 2013. Pieces of a Puzzle. We dream and we hope. We search and we find. We imagine and believe. In this universe infused through and through. Eternally exploding with light. And bursting forth with ecstatic joy. This universe that dances. In all shapes and sizes and directions. Of rotations and revolutions. This universe that evolves. In spurts and phases and bursts. Of growth and decline. Of particles leaping through space and time. At the speed of light.

A Small Piece of the Cosmos. Sunday, May 19, 2013. God, don't grow smaller for my sake. When I give you a place. As a character in the book I write. Don't settle for playing the role I give you. When I build these four walls. In my feeble attempt. To give you a safe place to live. Crumble these walls into dust. When I lay out the guidelines. For who I know you should be. Crash through my made-up rules. Like a raging, angry bull. When I ask you to be calm and safe. Flare up like the brilliant birth.

A Small Piece of the Cosmos. Friday, March 28, 2014. Give them your money! I haven't written much lately on my blog because nothing much has been happening. I've been going to school, doing some baking at home, being nice to my husband who is really busy at work right now. Just trucking along. Nothing really important to write down. Because homosexuals should not get paid to help feed children? Because children should be punished and starved if they have any association at all with homosexuals? And I sta...

A Small Piece of the Cosmos: May 13, 2014
http://katescosmos.blogspot.com/2014_05_13_archive.html
A Small Piece of the Cosmos. Tuesday, May 13, 2014. This year on Mother's Day, I found myself feeling miserable. I'm not a mother. I want to be a mother, but I'm not one yet. I'll be thirty this summer, and being childless after seven years of marriage sometimes feels like I've failed in some way. I already know I don't have kids. I already know you think I should have kids. I already know that I want to be a mother. I really don't need you to say any of that out loud to me. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
