The Tuckett Family: July 2012
http://tuckettfam.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 29, 2012. Visit to Idaho: Part 1. So it has been a long time since I posted, but I have a fairly good excuse. I haven't had the time because I have been having fun! I could wake up to this view every day. We all spent a lot of time in the hammock on my brother's porch. I am totally getting one of these when we are done with school. Awesome! The kids loved having sleepovers with their cousins. Aren't they so cute when they are sleeping? Reading with Grandma in the hammock. Ethan got a toy gun...

The Tuckett Family: September 2014
http://tuckettfam.blogspot.com/2015/02/september-2014.html
Tuesday, February 10, 2015. September started out the way September does around here. The first day of school pictures. Some people are really classy and have cool signs with what grade their children are in. I have a picture as they are headed out the back door. A week after the kids started school, we pulled them out for two weeks so we could make the long trip home to visit family. I swore after our trip in April I wouldn't make that drive again. Never say never- Disney movies are always right. We lef...

Free Range Family: In which no one is locked in a castle
http://superspringalings.blogspot.com/2012/04/in-which-no-one-is-locked-in-castle.html
The world is our playground. Saturday, April 21, 2012. In which no one is locked in a castle. After communism fell, all of the properties that had been confiscated were restored to their original owners. This nice man and his wife became the owners of several large but barely functioning properties, and suddenly faced the prospect of restoring heaps of rubble to something approaching their former glory. The Tuckett Family: March 2012
http://tuckettfam.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 22, 2012. I'm not very good at this blogging thing. So it has been awhile since I last posted and I am torn between the catching up that takes forever, and just pretending the last three months never happened. Since this thing is basically the only record I have of our lives I am going for the catching up. So since I last posted we have done the following things:. 1 My New Year's resolution this year was to get Colin out of diapers and into underwear. 3 My parents came to visit. 10 Ethan ...

Free Range Family: Vilate Update
http://superspringalings.blogspot.com/2012/05/vilate-update.html
The world is our playground. Monday, May 14, 2012. Vilate was a little warm when she went to bed a week ago Sunday night, but she was a raging inferno by the time she crawled into bed with us sometime in the middle of the night. She was also hallucinating/ talking in her sleep in a rather hilarious way. (Ammon, stop biting me! Brigham, move over! But tomorrow, maybe (if all the new bloodwork and tests come back negative), just maybe, Vilate will put away her Pet Machine (the IV thingie) and come home....

Free Range Family: A Brief History of Moms from 1970 to the Present
http://superspringalings.blogspot.com/2013/04/a-brief-history-of-moms-from-1970-to.html
The world is our playground. Saturday, April 6, 2013. A Brief History of Moms from 1970 to the Present. The people all looked familiar. This is not about Sesame Street- it's about the clothes. And the people. The moms looked exactly like I remember the moms of the 70s to look like- sort of homely and comfortable, and not particularly beautiful unless you think big glasses and bushy hair are beautiful. And make no mistake, if that's how your mom looked, that was beautiful. And the new baby? I actually thi...

Free Range Family: Eight is a magic number!
http://superspringalings.blogspot.com/2012/06/eight-is-magic-number.html
The world is our playground. Tuesday, June 26, 2012. Eight is a magic number! June 26, 2012 at 6:29 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). We are a pretty good-sized family of 11 (two parents, nine kids). Nearly every day at family dinner, we take turns sharing the best and worst parts of our day. Sometimes we laugh and sometimes we don't as we consider the successes and challenges we faced. But always we (try to) end up feeling closer together as we share each other's triumphs and tears.
