Read Red: A Tale for the Time Being
http://readwritered.blogspot.com/2014/01/a-tale-for-time-being.html
Ruminations on the reading life of a communist. Looking at words through class-struggle lenses. Thursday, January 16, 2014. A Tale for the Time Being. My Year of Meats. By Ruth Ozeki is one of my all-time favorite novels. I also liked (though didn't love) her second one, All Over Creation. A Tale for the Time Being. Onward to a red reading year! In the original version of this post I erroneously referred to Ozeki studying to be a monk. She studied to be and in fact is a priest. A Tale for the Time Being.

The humble quest to read everything lesbian: a lesbian book blog. Casey reviews Give It to Me by Ana Castillo. August 8, 2015. Danika @ The Lesbrary. Doesn’t it always seem that the books that you have the highest expectations for are the ones that let you down? That was my experience reading Give It to Me. Give It to Me. At times, Give It to Me. Is laugh-out-loud funny: Castillo has a dark, biting sense of humour that straddles the border between comedy and tragedy, much like the tone of the book. T...

Although I've mostly abandoned Read Red (for good reasons now! I'll post about that separately, after this), I'm compelled to stop in here to recommend this very fine novel. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). On the beautiful Brooklyn Bridge, which, contrary to the standard version, was not built by J.A. Roebling but by work...My po...
