Horse Cave, Kentucky. March 12, 2011. Posted by buasbhorsecaveky in About the Trip. We’re in New Jersey! I wasn’t able to update for CT and NY because I was driving. We have quite a while left to go before getting to Kentucky, and all the traffic isn’t helping. Hopefully we’ll be able to make up for lost time during the empty roads of the night! We ran into some crazy flooding by the highway, and we hope that the people of the area are doing ok. There were some houses that were partially underwater!

Note that there will be plenty of spontaneous detours and group bonding that we can’t plan for! Saturday, March 6. Departing from BU: between 6 am and 12 pm. Estimated trip time with detours and stops: 17-20 hours. Pit stops every 4 hours. Laser tag/bowling with another trip. Stop in Philly for a few hours for cheese steaks and site seeing. We went to Mammoth Cave National Park and stayed in one section of the cave for about 7 hours. We learned a whole lot about caves from our awesome tour guide, Rick.
