Saturday, September 24, 2011. Happy 9th Birthday Megan! How is she 9 already? Seems like yesterday she was born and we were moving to Texas. Meg is growing up so fast. She’s really doing well in school, cares about others, and is just all around a great kid. Megan loves Snoopy, so for her 9th birthday we were able to order a cake to surprise her! 160; AND we got to go see Grandma and eat together – something we hadn’t done in a long time! Here is her day! Birthday breakfast with some Lion King goodies.

Thursday, December 1, 2011. Before Thanksgiving, we decorated the house for Christmas. With the hectic holidays, it's hard to find time to do it all, so we were glad to get the house ready! Every year, we have the kids hang their name ornaments first. Here they are with the ornaments! In addition, every year, we have them pick an ornament that represents something they did that year. We took a trip to the St. Augustine Alligator Farm. Max started Boy Scouts.And Scott was Assistant Scoutmaster.

Friday, December 16, 2011. Zoo WildLights and SANTA! Megan joined Children's Chorus at her elementary school. And, a highlight was being able to sing at the Columbus Zoo WildLights! After a great performance, we ventured out to enjoy the lights and ended our visit with a trip to see who else - SANTA! Powdered Laundry Detergent – Recipe #9. 8 cups Baking Soda. 8 cups Washing Soda. 8 cups Bar soap (grated) - I used Ivory because I had it on hand. Mix all ingredients well and store in a sealed tub.
