Manifesto | Justin Buck
https://buckleadership.wordpress.com/manifesto
Begins and ends with service. Genuine influence is built through selfless service to others, and influence is the essence of leadership. In the same fashion, genuine leadership. Is another essential aspect of leadership. Service. When we empower others, we are. Leaders with a vice grip on authority feel that giving others power minimizes their own. But we aren’t giving it. Genuine empowerment doesn’t subtract power but. My manifesto is simple: At every opportunity, we must empower. Enter your comment here.
LEAD through Service Failures | Justin Buck

LEAD through Service Failures. September 9, 2013. One of my favorite things to do is watch failure happen. That doesn’t sound very leader-like, does it? I’m not saying I like to trip toddlers or give team members impossible assignments. But how we handle failure is an immediate barometer of our leadership. The best advice I ever got about handling service failures came from a theme park manager. When it comes to solving problems and recovering from service failure, we have to LEAD:. Even if you’re ...

I feel it is time…. May 23, 2013. I definitely think so much of what goes wrong can be attributed to two things; #attitude and #perspective. A bad attitude will pigeon hole your perspective and lead to you defending whatever it is at all costs. By having a positive attitude you are more comfortable in keeping an open mind and changing your perspective. This will inevitably lead to better understanding and solutions for everyone! Someone pointed out what I think is generally a fair observation. Middle managers tend to be obnoxious and out of touch. Why is that? Unfortunately, when you have middle m...

Life of a Seminarian – Life, Religion, Ministry
Life of a Seminarian. Life, Religion, Ministry. I got a little board this summer, and decided to do a couple of projects. This is a simple project that I have been meaning to do for a couple of years now. It is easy to do. All you need is a painting. I picked this one up at a thrift store. I wanted something to put in my bathroom. The bathroom is a beach theme. The colors in this picture worked great with this theme. I love the way it looks in my bathroom! August 15, 2015. Sometimes You Just Have To Get Out Of Town. June 13, 2014. Buckle & Birch. After reluctantly packing up my things to go back to Dallas, I stopped to have coffee with another dear friend that moved to ATX about 8 months ago. Miss this girl fiercely.
